每逢端午节妈妈总会把房子里里外外打扫得干干净净。可是我不明白的是妈妈为什么在厨房里洒上雄黄酒?妈妈告诉我是用来杀死毒虫或防止毒虫孳生。
因为端午节又称重五节,所以很多习俗也与“五”这个数字联系在一起,用红、黄、蓝、白、黑五色丝线系在儿童的脖颈、手腕或足踝上,称为长命缕,也称“五线”。各家要插五端;菖薄,艾草,石榴花,龙船花,蒜头。南方过端午节要吃五黄;黄鱼,黄瓜,咸鸭蛋,黄豆瓣包的粽子,雄黄酒。无论在南方还是在北方,这一天都要在儿童的额头上画个“王”字,还要佩戴五颜六色的香囊。赛龙舟,吃粽子之所以是端午节的主要活动是因为相传龙舟竟渡要捞救投汩罗江而死的屈原。把粽子投进江河,是让鱼蛟虾蟹吃饱了,不再去吃屈原的遗体。

五月初五是我国传统的节日,端午节,又叫端阳节,到那天,人们整天都沉浸在喜气洋洋的节日气氛里。每逢端午节,家家户户都包粽子吃,爸爸也会对我讲同一个故事,很久以前,有一位著名的爱国大诗人,他叫屈原,他被别人杀害了并且扔进了江流湍急的汩罗江里,人们知道了,怕江里的鱼虾把屈原的尸体吃掉,便包了许多美味可口的粽子扔进江里喂鱼,这样鱼饱了就不会吃屈原的尸体了。正好那天是农历五月初五,善良的人们为了纪念屈原的爱国精神及崇高人格,把这天称为端午节,以示悼念。
端午那天妈妈也会告诉我怎么包粽子的,首先把鲜绿的粽叶洗得干干净净,然后用左手托着粽叶,右手轻轻地勺起浸泡过数小时的糯米,并加上干净的豆沙、蜜枣、葡萄干、排骨、花生米,包成三角形形状然后用五彩绳子捆紧,最后把漂亮的粽子上锅煮上一个小时左右,熟透了就可以吃了。煮的时候那香味就早已传遍了整个大街小巷!非常诱惑人。你若咬一口尝尝,保证令你还想吃,就算你不吃,闻一闻,都会令人垂涎欲滴,并且那香味直往心里钻。

一说起屈原,让我们想起了端午节,一提起端午节,我就会心血来潮,因为可以吃到香香的、甜甜的、糯糯的粽子,想想真是美妙极了。小时候,一到端午节奶奶就会先摘家门口的粽叶,然后清洗、蒸煮。再采来棕树叶撕成条同样清洗再蒸煮,然后把糯米淘洗、侵泡,把水沥干后就可开始包粽子了。只见奶奶一会儿把粽叶卷成锥形,一会儿把淘洗好的糯米放进去,一会儿用棕叶条包裹那酷似玉盘托珍珠的粽子,颇似沙场点兵。不一会儿那本来轻飘飘的棕树叶变得沉甸甸而且还密密麻麻的。我还跟着奶奶学了手艺哩,我学着奶奶的模样把粽叶卷成锥形,然后把珍珠似的糯米放进去。
“啊!!”一不小心我手里的“玉盘托珍珠”摔碎了,满地都是我弄洒的珍珠。我闭上眼睛,准备接受奶奶的大骂,可奶奶却用那慈祥的眼光看着我,轻轻的对我说:“小心点。”我什么也没说,只是对她笑了笑。奶奶也对我笑了笑。

除了吃粽子,端午节还有许多习俗,如:放风筝、饮雄黄酒,对了!还有赛龙舟!!!我们美丽的柳叶湖每年都会举行赛龙舟比赛,几十个水手紧紧地握着船桨,竭尽全力地奋力地向终点划着,擂鼓的水手士气高昂,一边用力地敲着鼓,一边喊着震天动地的号子,那场面,那叫一个震撼。还有,还有呢!每到五月初五我们家的大门前都要挂艾草。

“五月五,是端阳,吃粽子,洒白糖……”在端午节的前几天,家家户户都忙着包粽子,当你经过别人家门口时,总会看见一些大人用糯米、粽叶、苇草做出一个个结实的粽子,有圆的,有枕形的,好可爱啊!再把它们放进一口大锅里蒸,整间屋子都弥漫一种清香味,让人不禁口水直流。一些贪吃的小孩还时不时到厨房里转一转,一个劲问粽子熟了没有。到了端午节这一天,把粽子扎成一份,一份的,每一份五个。有一个最大,另外四个比较小,好像是一只母鸡在呵护着小鸡,象征着孩子们在长辈的呵护下健康成长。咬一口,嫩滑爽口,味道有甜的,有咸的。
洒雄黄
吃完粽子,到外面活动活动,咦?他们在看什么,一位长辈在洒一种黄黄的东西,还在小孩子的额头上写着什么字,一问才知道,这种东西叫雄黄酒,专门用来驱虫的。因为正值夏天虫子繁殖季节,难免一些虫子、毒蛇会钻进家里,但洒这种酒,它们闻到酒的气味就不敢来了,这是有科学道理的。把这种酒在孩子们额头上写一个“王”字,也含有避邪的意思,当然这是一种迷信的做法。
龙舟竟渡
“咚咚咚,”从沿河边传来一阵阵锣鼓声,跑过去一看,原来是信江河里正在举行每年一度的龙舟赛,每艘船上坐着二、三十个人。他们穿着颜色一致的队服,红的、黄的、白的都有,还有的干脆光着膀子。大家动作一致,船桨上下挥动,激起阵阵浪花,船尾鼓手拼命击鼓,两岸观众呐喊助阵,那场面异常热闹。
据史料记载,我们家乡龙舟赛前船员们先做龙头的。龙头做好以后由船员们抬着挨家挨户暮集一些钱,人们会把大门敞开,用清水浇洒龙头,乞求今年能风调雨顺,人丁兴旺。端午节午饭后正式开赛,在船头放一只鸭子,哪只船先抓住鸭子就算获胜。
